Mi Oh My Farms initially produced the microgreens and mushrooms in a hydroponic farm inside the home of Joél Meija, the co-ops founder and a Bronx native. The products were initially only sold through retail and wholesale in multiple farmers markets in The Bronx. Recently, Mi Oh My Farms has expanded to a new larger, commercial space in Riverdale to scale their production. The adjoining storefront adds a dedicated space for customers to purchase their microgreens and other products. Unlike traditional farming, hydroponic farming allows Mi Oh My Farms to consistently produce and sell superfoods year-round. The new farm location is expected to triple production capacity as Mi Oh My Farms utilizes a vertical farming system to maximize floor space.
Mi Oh My Farms currently sells their products at multiple locations in The Bronx. Visit their website to find out where you can get your microgreens! Farm tours are also offered on a limited basis to teach locals about hydroponic farming and encourage farm share purchasing.
